The Next Two Books of Johnny Vu Thriller Series

Rare Earth_China Ciphers is Book 3. It is coming along in editing mode. It carries on into Book 4, Princelings, Shadows and Ghosts.  These are primarily set in China, Hawaii and the U.S. All the core writing is done, 786 pages, and are in heavy editing mode.

Johnny and Briana hunt for a mole in the Chinese government, battle terrorists all around the far reaches of China, and become targets themselves of counter Intel and covert operatives of several nations.

There is a wonderful weave of history and present happenings, linking U.S. secrets and Chinese mysteries from WW II in Asia, Vietnam, Laos, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Mainland and the East China Sea. Lies, deceit and treachery are the ingredients in the hot cauldron of China versus U.S. history.

I have been creating these two books as one tale with many veins and arteries—mischief, mayhem, murder and chase. As always, Vu and his swallow are caught in traps, kill zones and wild action.

I am not sure when my inner editor says they will be ready for publication, but it will be 2015 for sure.
And these two books will be wonderful reads. They are richly populated with devilishly evil characters and criminals. The books are layered with generations of extraordinary families, espionage, government deceits and assassinations.

Always, my goal is to be engaging with the Thriller Series. I've invested two-and-one-half years so far creating these next two mystery-thriller entertainments for you. Sharpening them in the editing process is vital. Flying Money_Buddha Laughing, I believe, is an excellent read because I sharpened it for months and months before I considered it ready for folks to enjoy.

Meanwhile, much else has gone on. The dogs, both of them, are gone. Bobby, almost 20, last year and Sugar the year before, at 8. Those were tough losses. I memorialize their lives in these books in several ways.

And as I look out beyond my computer screen at the world, I see a fifth book being written by events.
Of course, my hero and heroine and circumstances will have to be resolved to allow them to continue. We don't know for sure, now do we, that they will survive and be free to continue.

China is a treacherous environment and the stakes are enormous when Princelings, Shadow and Ghosts rule the Rare Earth of the Middle Kingdom.

Be well, dear readers. Some things will be better sooner than you think. As long as Johnny Vu's luck holds and destiny doesn't turn on him.

Tom Clancy ... RIP

A pioneer in techno-thriller fiction has died far too young. Tom Clancy, it was announced, has passed. Cause not yet announced.

Inspiration as pioneer, exemplar as a standard of success, and a model for promoting fundamental American virtues of individualism and patriotism, Clancy lived his life as he wrote Jack Ryan's.

Bravo, Tom. Your books will entertain for decades more. You have done well.

Great sensation of butterflies in the stomach over another book in the series seeing the light of day.
I have been waiting for this for a week. Bookbaby published for me again.
It should be on iBookstore for iPads, iPhones, iPod Touch shortly. Also, Sony, Kobo, Nook and a few others in the days and weeks ahead.

Don't forget, Kindle has apps for all devices, all systems. You can read it everywhere using Kindle app.

Stories from Earlier Times

Have been reading short stories I wrote from the early eighties. I may consider putting them out in a short collection.

They deserve the light of day, and readers like short form and free eBook content.

Return to Action

Away from blogging for four months of intense editing on Flying Money_Buddha Laughing, book 2 in the Johnny Vu Thriller Series.

Also, these months have been filled with dog medical attention. Sugar, the younger of the two, has Lupus, and we have been at it for five or six months of dealing with her immune system attacking her skin. Very intense work to save her.  Lots of hourly work around the clock.  She now has grown back hair over most of the face, except the top and tip of her nose. She is on lots of drugs and that is from 6am to after dinner.

So, I have been very involved in those two major projects.

Now, today, I sent the book off to BookBaby for aggregation. Maybe in a week or so, Amazon and iBookstore, and all the rest will have it.

I feel it is stronger and carries Vu and his cohorts deeper in the search for dreams, adventure and revenge.

It will lead into the third and fourth book which is plotting out nicely in my mind from this second effort.

I'll announce it here when it is ready for purchase and download.

SerracinThriller Website Up

Took a little longer than it should, but the Author website is up.

www.serracinthriller.com

I have been following the plan. Watching the dollars and stepping forward where and how others have shown the way with an ebook launch.

Now, it's reviews needed and word of internet-mouth.

Person to person, I'll be using business cards dedicated to the book. And I carry my iPad.
My dentist took note--she's Vietnamese, so she had an interest in Johnny Vu. Read the description from the iPad and she'll be buying it. Put info in her phone notes to do it.

It's the only way. Personal, direct sales, word of mouth, internet tools, and high hopes. Got to be optimistic.  You write it as well as you can. Then pray for readers to like it.

There was a good article on the thriller genre in Financial Times: I Spy, with my Literary Eye. They are very fussy about their content intellectual property, so I don't include it. Check it out.

Published! Amazon and iBookstore

The day has come.  The first book is out.  Actually, iBook was very fast, Sept. 30th and the Amazon date was Oct. tenth.  Just found out early this morning. They don't notify the aggregator who publishes for me, BookBaby.  I am still waiting for Sony Reader and Barnes and Noble Nook publication. They take weeks to do the job.

Been working with my web guy on the website.  Getting closer.

Very exciting time to be able to send notices out to friends and relatives.

Also, had to revisit with my book cover artist, Joshua Davis, to get a little extra painting for business card version of the cover artwork.  He did that quick and well.

It's a wonderful feeling to see everything moving forward.  Worth the effort.

It clears a path through for the second book.  And energizes me for the struggles ahead on the third.

I am hoping that the readers enjoy the entertainment.  Also, hoping for good reviews and assistance from readers in spreading the word about the Johnny Vu series.
